Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Seska, my friend said they explained the situation to the owner of the hall, and he understood. So they added a special clause in the contract, that if they'll have to cancel because of his dad, they won't have to pay.

Not sure how much that helps you guys.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Thanks, Shir. Discussing it with the venue owner was something we hadn't thought of. It wouldn't cover things like the marquee, caterers etc, but it would give us an alternative for some of the cost if we can't find insurance. Thanks for the idea.

Fay, I meant to mention but forgot: you are such a star! I've been following the #pepsifail tag on twitter, and people are incensed. They want PepsiCo to apologise properly and remove the application. Could happen, too. Nice one.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy birthday, Cashmere!

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Cashmere!

Hil, I hope you were able to get some peaceful painless sleep last night.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Holy crap! Following the #PepsiFail thing over on Twitter is just making me completely drunk on illusory power, so I'm backing away now, before I get entirely carried away with delusions of my own significance.

THIS must be how that butterfly feels, after she's flapped around and started off a Tsunami on the other side of the world.

Hmmm. Perhaps we'll try #PayRiseForTeachers next?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

LOL. Since when Bitches are ethical?

Bitches are highly ethical. We're just perverted...

And occasionally illiterate...

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I think we make (up?) our own ethics, just like we make our own fun.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, guys. I've already had some birthday chocolate and scheduled my reduction surgery for next month, this morning.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Cash, here's to continued birthday blessings, and to the skilled hands of the surgeon, the other doctors, and the nurses who will be taking care of you next month.

P.S. Here's to perky ones, too.

I think we make (up?) our own ethics, just like we make our own fun.

Ah, but just like with the fun, the ethics are intelligently thought out and kept for their own sake more often here than elsewhere, I think. And just because we don't all agree on olives, serial commas, and every ethical principle, doesn't mean the love is less. In fact, I think it makes the community all the richer.

My soapbox, let me show you it.
