bonny, I am so sorry. ~ma to you and A and all of those who love Kim.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Much peace for A, bonny.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know how you'd cope with something like that. I hope A has good people around her now.
My God, Bonny. I can't begin to imagine how A must feel. Wishing her strength and support and a way through this.
(And belated job-ma to Jilli!)
Peace~ma for A!
I hope A can find some peace with this.
I am up because I think someone tried to break in. I heard a crash and the dog went insane. I found my front door jamb partly broken. The lights and the loud barking (Yay, Mr Peabody) had apparently made the person flee precipitously, since there was no sign of him. Now the door is screwed shut. I'll have to figure out some reinforcements in the morning.
Ginger, are you OK? Do you have someone in the house with you? I hope you're not too shaken up.
Peace~ma for your friend's daughter, bonny, and for you.
It looks like you went with just the one, but I was going to say - make ABSOLUTELY sure you're getting all girls if you decide on multiple hammies!
Oh goodness, yes! That was the plan. We were thinking of two girls (we do not want baby hamsters appearing every couple of weeks), but opinion is very divided on whether dwarf hamsters need to be in pairs or on their own. Both the pet store owner and the vet we talked to last week thought that a pair of hamsters might end up fighting and causing problems for each other, so we went for just the one. We'll make sure we spend lots of time with her so she doesn't get lonely.
We're thinking of getting Emeline a hooded rat for her birthday. There are two of them in her class and she seems to really like them.
Nice! We considered rats, but I had already fallen in love with the dwarf hamster. But The Girl used to keep rats, and says they're fantastic pets. Very friendly and intelligent, apparently. (Not usually as intelligent as the NIMH ones, though.)
Crap, crap, crap, Ginger! How scary!
BTW, Seska, congrats on the hammy. I hope Hamish knows just how lucky she is. Ah, I'm sure she will soon, if she doesn't know yet.
Did you call the police, Ginger? They should know there is a prowler about and I know I felt a little less rattled once the white hats with the guns were seen at my place (and said they'd drive by a few times that night).
