Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Dude, I'm so bored, Vortex should send me to set up her mom's network. As long as I don't have to lift anything, I can look thoughtful and diddle around with wires and finally say "Wow, I've never seen anything like this before in ALL MY YEARS! This calls for a pro!"

It's be true, too.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Awesome. And Stephanie, don't forget to check out project gutenberg for anything old you might be interested in, for free. ManyBooks.net has 23,000 of them available.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've given up reading stories of cruel things being done to cats, as they just upset me.

Hey. New board.

Stephanie, I read a ton, but two things I absolutely loved doing with the Kindle were:

1) The Times, but it's not worth it if you won't do it pretty much daily since you can get it mostly free online and

2) Atlantic Monthly. I really liked getting it sent to me wirelessly, and it was cheap if i recall. And now you can get the New Yorker too. A good way to get quality reading with wide variety.

I have no idea what else you like to read. I read a lot of urban fantasy on it, and some fun chick lit. I read Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea and laughed, Atonement and cried, Twilight and cringed but couldn't stop, Home by Julie Andrews and learned, A Short History of Nearly Everything and learned even more, Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing and learned in a laughing manner, very Buffistishly, You Don't Have to Be Wrong for Me to be Right and agreed, and Choke and continued my string of only sort of liking Palahniuk, . Plus some other stuff.

So that's some suggestions. There could be more.

ETA: Also - hi, everybody. I went away for a while, because I was apartment hunting and had no time. But we've been approved for a nice 1 bedroom in a neighborhood we like for a price we like even more, so yay.

Liese, bless/curse you for mentioning Many Books. I've already downloaded three old mysteries onto my Palm. I'll finally read Wilkie Collins' "The Moonstone". And Hubby wonders why I have to recharge my Palm so often.

Catching up, am I the only one who thinks Vortex should send her assistant to set up her mom's network?

Hah! Brenda is eeeeevil, and funny.

Stephanie, I wasn't sure what sort of thing you like to read! I mean, I devour lots of things from the library, but I read...anything I can get my hands on, really. Scifi, fantasy, trashy romances, etc. But if I have to PAY for it, I get more picky. So I'm not sure what to recommend you PAY for...:)

Curious: how would Kindle work for reading long works? How is screen resolution/eye strain compared to printed pages?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The cat appears to be fine, don't worry. The story is more funny than upsetting (though it was probably appropriate to bust the guy for it).
