I'm having a great deal of fun with Facebook. I love opera, and I had a thought just now about how the children who sing in operas arrange things with school and such, so some quick Googling led me to a couple of Facebook pages for alumni of the children's chorus at the Met. They're telling tales of their legendary director and generally reminiscing. I wouldn't pull out anything specific for writing, but for getting a feel for that kind of atmospher it's terrific.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

OOh. Birthday Happies Sail!!
Ok. So remember that co-worker who made the mean comment about my nose and I made the equally mean comment back? Well, I was right in that she laid off of the rudeness.
For awhile. It's back in full effect.
I was mumbling to myself that I would like to learn the choreography from "Single Ladies", and that I *will* learn it if it kills me. She just happened to be walking past my desk and let out a huge bark of laughter and then went around the office telling everyone that "Aimee thinks she gonna learn the Beyonce dance!" She came back to me and said, "Girl, you ain't as young as you used to be." To which I replied, "Well, I ain't as old as I could be, either."
Bitch.
Thanks, all! I'm declaring today an indoor pants day in honor of my Birfday. Now, how much weight my declarations may hold over reality is a matter of debate, but still...indoor pants! I decree.
Geez, Aims, what a bitch. You ought'a learn the dance and do it at work, just to show her. (I have no idea what this dance looks like.)
Also -- I am fully aware of how intense that dance is and how much it would take to learn it. But hell, I'm not trying to audition for Broadway or the next video. I just like the dance moves. And maybe it would help shave some of this weight off.
Happy birthday, Sail!
