so a whole new person to give me confused looks.
This always awesome. I've had one PT know what Erb's Palsy was (one who was treating me for something else), and the rest had to have it explained. And one Dr. who tried to look it up and couldn't find it. Seriously? I don't know what lousy internet Physician's Reference you're using, but I've had luck with Google myself.
That is to say, good luck, Hil.
What was the name of that syndrome/condition that is indicated by hyperflexible joints?
Thanks. Time to play pin the tail on the symptom and see what matches on Hubby.
You may want to also check out Hypermobility Syndrome symptoms, which is what I believe I have. Less serious than EDS, but still painful and a PITA.

My doctor isn't quite sure what to call what I have. There's a list of specific joint ranges of motion where it's officially Ehlers Danlos if you've got more than a certain number of those, and I don't, but I do have really extremely wide range of motion in a bunch of joints that the test doesn't measure. I've also got minor skin involvement and mitral valve prolapse, which pretty much all adds up to not fitting neatly into any diagnosis.
There's also some debate among doctors about whether Hypermobility Syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome - Hypermobility Type are actually the same thing or not, and the classifications have changed several times, and so what I have really depends on what doctor is examining me at the time.
Wow. Good luck and health luck~ma, Hil.
I can understand how this must be very frustrating to you.
Lots of posts!
