'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

This is a whole Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants thing! Possibly! (...I know nothing about that book/movie beyond the title.)

Also, they are of the devil. I say this because I've caught them creeping into my e-mail, etc., SURELY typed by fingers other than my own. SURELY.

God, word. I've resisted the fuckers for a decade, but they're definitely starting to creep in. I blame this guy, because I've started to see the stylised expression of dismay as highly comical:

D:

See? It's oddly disarming.

I'm charmed to bits both by the Spanish PM's daughters being goths, and by the fact that their privacy is so fiercely guarded. Spain: pretty damn awesome, in many and varied ways.

Also? Good morning. Jings. Can it be bedtime again?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. Why is my advisor not responding to my emails? I just need to know whether he can meet with me tomorrow or not, and I first asked last Thursday!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The years I have money I usually start keeping an eye out for Christmas gifts in September. I'll have two or three left to find by December.

The less money I have, the earlier I start shopping. I've successfully done a fair bit of Christmas shopping at garage sales.

Codeine is making me feel woozy. Though I felt a little woozy before taking it, too. Ankle hurts less, though.

Advisor still hasn't emailed me back. I think I might not go into the office tomorrow. Ankle needs a rest.

Can codeine make eyes itchy? It seems like, whenever I take it, my eyes get dry and itchy.

You should definitely take care of yourself, Hil.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Meanwhile, Jilli, there's a great jacket with lots of buttons at H&M...

Oh ... dear. And Plei was a meanie-head who kept me out of H&M over the weekend!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Phrases that make Editor-Calli cry, part 11,000,000,000:

This objective is operationalized by

Why, god(dess), why?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This objective is operationalized

...by objectifying the operationalization?

Sadly, no, tommyrot. By:

[verb]ing the [noun] through a [noun] that [verb]s the [noun] with [noun] so that each informs the other generating synergistic effects.

There should be a fine every time someone uses "operationalized" and jail time for those who use both "operationalized" and "synergistic" in the same sentence.
