[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Night, o_a.
It always kind of cracks me up when I'm up before people west of me have gone to bed.
Ok. Boys or parents with boys, does this look cool? [link] I'm trying to find a hobby/project for a third-grade boy in my after school program. This looks like it might be a good beginner robot...to see if he's interested in this kind of thing. Then, if he is, we might move to some more detailed projects.
He loves building things, so this seems like a good possibility. But, I'd like some other opinions before I actually buy it.
When I was in third grade, I would've thought this was awesome. I have to report, however, that Ryan seemed nonplussed.
If Ryan had been interested, I'd have been concerned you have some scarily wicked-advanced boy on your hands!

He is! He had a weigh-in today, he's now at 8.4 kg. He still gets carried everywhere, though.
As soon as I hit post, I thought, "How crazy I am! Of course he's wicked-advanced!"
I think my nephew would only be interested in this because it has small parts. He likes to eat them. Poor boy is never going to live down the "magnet incident."
So? Are ya allowed to tell us about it? Or is there a NDA?
current project is NDA-ed. I'll file the general on LinkedIn when i go there next.
I need house elves to clean up my apartment before the plumber gets here.
Sorry sj, if I had the elves I wouldn't let them leave.

Mine would have liked it bunches, still likely would.
