Oops. Just realized that I forgot to buy Shabbos candles. The closest place that I know sells them is way too far to walk today. (There's another place a little closer that might have them, but I'm not sure.)
Stupid ankle.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks for the job~ma! My manager seems very happy with my work, and next week we'll find out if his joy can be expressed via dollars.
ETA: Sorry about the candles and ankle, Hil. Is there someone who could pick them up for you?
mearing:
First, Fred Pete. I'm so, so sorry. I really don't have many words. But I have a keyboard, and it has brackets, which I'll use until I'll have the chance to see you IRL. {{{{}}}} My sympathies.
No word yet from NY. I keep reminding myself, there is nothing I can do from here, and nothing I could do if I was there, so just breathe.
Wish I could be there for you, hon. {{omnis}}
~mas to Aims and Her Girly Parts.
Vortex, hairpets. But in your case, I think I'll have to save the brackets to the ones who'll get your rage.
Jerusalem sounds interesting. I need to visit Israel soon, so as to learn more about The Girl's background. And I hear it's a beautiful place to visit anyway.
Yes, Yes, Yes and YES! Seska, I'd LOVE to see you and The Girl here. If you need tips or anything, or someone to find out which sites are accessible, you're more than welcome to email me. I'd really love to help and host you here and show you around.
Shir, I hope you have a safe and comfortable move. When are you actually moving?
Oh. Today was... bad. Yes, bad. We all sucked badly. I think we might need the Buffistas' powerful ~ma if we want to make this move. Apparently it's impossible to get a 4-5 rooms house/apartment with a small yard (for the dog) inside Jerusalem's undisputed parts, or the somewhat-undisputed parts for less than what 3-4 salaries of a family can rent per month. Seriously. Did I already thanked my glorious PM for destroying the middle class? I think not.
Umm, Hil, it's past Shabbos-entrance here, but if it helps I can light them behalf of you.
I don't even know if it's remotely possible.
I'm a bad, bad Jew.
Dollars~ma to Calli. Glad it turned out good!

thanks, but no need :) I think that my email this morning must have gotten to her, because she just called me to tell me that she's made the changes I requested. Which is particularly frustrating because if she did it in five hours today, she clearly could have had it done earlier.
Thanks, Shir.
Now I can breathe and make plans for the weekend. As there's a 90% chance of cold and rain tomorrow, I'm thinking a big ol' pot of French onion soup would be just the thing.
Pizza was good. Seeing friend was good. We watched 'Dead Like Me', which was also good.

Much move~ma headed your way. The prices thing sounds frustrating. We have major difficulties finding (accessible) affordable places to live in London, but we usually find something eventually. After a month or two's panic. Anyway, I hope something unexpectedly comes up.

Heh. Again, when I say that The Girl is from everywhere, I actually mean it. She grew up in Houston, London, Geneva and Tel Aviv. Not quite all at once. But nearly. So she might be a bit peeved if I say someone else is showing me around Israel! But it would be awesome if you'd hang out with us if we visited :) And tips on access would definitely be helpful. We haven't arranged a visit yet because there's so many of her family there, and we don't do so well with explaining to them who I am. (We're not allowed to tell her extended family that we're a couple. Really.) But I'm sure we'll arrange something soon. I'll keep you posted!

On Buffista Island, maybe we will find some way of having inter-faith observances together, sometimes. That would be made of awesome. And dipped in liquid awesome.
Moving~ma for you and your family, Shir.

Yeah, I don't see Jerusalem or the Negev desert on that list.

Tip: the moment you'll say to most Israeli people you want children, they'll "forgive" you for being gay.
