Our wings are not tired.

Congrats on the new car! I know we need to deal with that sometime soon, but putting it off still. My sister has had several Saturns and loves them. Hasn't ever had any issues with them.

Yum, pizza.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

got a good chance of it lasting, wndsparrow . and that pizza sounds yummy

tomato basil quiche is dinner tonight. But I also baked a bunch of chicken breasts that can be eaten later this week. That plus the list of chores I have done to day , makes me feel extraordinarily virtuous

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Happy Birthday Smonster!!!!!!! ((Squish!))

Loved the Jedi thing. Very cool.

(((Seska))) Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he did what he needed to do on this earth. Guess the PTB figured you are good to go on your own now.

BTW, I think I win at best wife ever this month. I bought DW a new iMac - it arrived today!
Dang it! I knew there was a reason I wanted to marry GC. :: kicks dirt :: That's very cool GC. How's the back doing? Any remedies working? I wonder if your office chair isn't offering enough support, thus causing back pains?

UPDATE: My dad still has the tube down his throat, but they let him wake up for a bit to see how he would react. Apparently he was grumpy, frustrated, and had a sore throat. And since he couldn't communicate, they decided to re-sedate him But, knowing my father, that is pretty much normal for him. I'm wondering if his g/f is going to ask for said shots for when he gets home. Anyhow, I take that as a good sign.

Our wings are not tired.

It sounds like keeping your dad sedated is the best way to get him over the hump. I hope his recovery progresses well.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We've been thinking about you o_a, and missed you Sat, though completely understand your absence. (It was hilarious watching 5 boys gathered around trying to figure out how to hook the thing up though. We should have sent you pics to give you a smile).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I made sushi yesterday! And it was yummy!

Way to go, Connie! Deliciousness is yours.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I already xposted this to Natter, but I know Windsparrow would want to see Emmett's school essay about Matilda.

The status is NOT quo.

Just a quick hello--I've missed so much, including a ton of birthdays (but I'm not too late to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to smonster!) and some very scary sad stuff (hugs to Omnis, though it sounds like your dad is doing better, and hugs to Fred_Pete and Hubs as they wait to hear about their kitty, and hugs to Andi for the loss of the hamster)...and I know I've missed so much else. Thinking of my Bitches, though, and missing you guys. I want Bitch face time, dammit.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

tomato basil quiche is dinner tonight.

Now that sounds amazing.

I'm wondering if his g/f is going to ask for said shots for when he gets home.

Kinda reminds me of shortly after my dad's first heart attack, when my mother made an appointment to see his cardiologist, and ask the doc to give the old man a tranquilizer in with his heart meds. The doctor wouldn't do that without him knowing, so mom said, "How about one for me, then?"

hugs to Andi for the loss of the hamster

I will take hugs any time, but it's Seska's hammie who has gone to wait at the Rainbow Bridge.

I know Windsparrow would want to see Emmett's school essay about Matilda.

Too right. Damn allergies. Also, big lump in my throat. That young man is a good writer for his age, well able to put together details that really smash his point home. And it is sweet and good to see such love between brother and sister.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I may qualify for best girlfriend of the day

You're good. But I'm up at 5am to take The Girl to the airport. I may be competing against you for that title.

Dear God, it's early...

omnis, that's a lovely thought! Cheers.

Edit 'cause I just saw update about omnis's dad. (I miss things when reading too fast.) Glad to hear he's doing better. I hope he's able to be not-sedated soon.
