Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I made sushi yesterday! And it was yummy! I learned a great deal about proportions and textures of filling and balancing flavors. If I find out rice is banned because of blood sugars, I will be very pissed.

Ugh. My graduate assistant wears too. much. perfume. It's a very nice scent, but am sitting in my office in another room (10-15 feet away), she has not crossed the threshold, and I can smell her perfume. How does one deal with that if there's no allergy issue, it's just overpowering.

Oh wow, Vortex--that's a lot of perfume!! Time to have a chat about the point of wearing perfume NOT being to knock people down with it!

Laura! It looks like I"m probably coming to Miami for Thanksgiving!

Does your HR department have a written policy on scents? Ours requests that people keep perfumes minimal to non-existent, and if there's a problem that can't be resolved by saying, "I'm kind of sensitive to scents, would you mind keeping it down, please?" we can go to HR for resolution.

Well, I'm her boss, so I don't have to be delicate about it, but I've already had to have a chat with her about other things, so I'm trying to be nice.

Our wings are not tired.

That's wonderful news, meara. At a time when I should have free time to play!.

Oh good! I was hoping you'd be in town--I'm planning to meet my best friend down there, but she'll only have the immediate holiday days, but I may come down for extra days, so it'd be much more fun if I have someone to have dinner with or something!

The furthest I plan to venture around Thanksgiving is the Keys because it is a great time of year for that. May have to drag you down there.

I knew 285 was closed, but I hadn't seen that picture, flea. It's mindboggling.

If it's a public office, Vortex, you could appeal to her on the basis of people like me, who would have to flee from her in a fit of sneezing.

I will be very jealous. You'll have to post lots of pics so I can live vicariously through you.

Also to the nice person who asked, I'm 6 months PG - due in December. It just can't come fast enough at this point. Arg.
