Just spoke with my sister. I guess we have a phone tree, and she's the top. Anyhow, sounds like they will keep him sedated for an additional 24 hours, so through about Tuesday. Apparently the word "detox" was mentioned by the docs. Not surprising. He's a boozer. But it is making things a bit more complicated. I'm focusing on the fact he is stable, vitals good, and sedated (not coma!). If they really are detoxing him, that explains the prolonged sedation. And quite frankly, it's a good thing.
Thanks for all the ~ma. I love y'all!
sedation is the most pleasant way to detox, if anything i've heard or read is accurate :( recovery~ma still transmitting.
Ya, that's what I was telling my sister. She was "I don't think drugs is the best way of getting booze out of your system". I was trying to explain how it takes away the mental half of the addiction so there is no temptation to drink while your body goes through the physical withdrawl symptoms. She relunctantly came around. She's a bit bull headed sometimes.
I've decided there is nothing I can do, and sitting unshowered in my apt wasn't doing anything but making a smelly apt. I've showered and am heading to the company softball outing.
Okay people, I have 6 more hard drives to name and I'm coming up short on names of fictional spaceships at the moment.
The Navigator?
I assume you've gone through the usual suspects, but in case any of have slipped your mind: Galactica, Pegasus, Serenity, Moya, Enterprise, Nostromo...
The only one of those I haven't used is Enterprise. For some reason I tend to avoid the really big ones.
Mainly I have too many hard drives.
I don't believe I have a Kobayashi Maru. Tom just named the hard drive on this iMac.
Guys? Hello?
And by "hello" I mean, "what do you think Wikipedia is for?" [link]
