I like Brin very much but I got lost in his various series somewhere and haven't been able to puzzle out which I've read and which I haven't. I am trying very hard to stop buying books I think I haven't read just to realize (usually only after I've finished or gotten far enough through it that I might as well finish) that not only have I read it before I've got a copy of it with the same damn cover art right over there, why didn't I see that before?
Yet another reason why I need to finish my bookshelves and get all my books unpacked so I can at least figure out what I own.

I have three lectures to give today, and I'm not really prepared for any of them in the way I'd like because I got side tracked all week by the administration's plans for major flu absences. (They come up with a plan, I figure out how to teach professors to execute those plans technology-wise. They have the easy job.)
I have meetings from 10AM - 2PM and no, they are not bringing in lunch. This is very unfriendly to PG people! Hope they're ready for me to take lots o' breaks.
