Not that I'm there yet, Cash, but my mom always used dollar coins or $2 bills for that sort of thing. The cool factor makes up for the fact that it's not a lot of money.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oooh!! The gold dollars in a little sack like pirate booty!!
Oh, I think I might have a couple of Sacajawea dollar coins around.
We have been doing Sacajawea dollars. I only have 5 left, and 3 teeth are currently loose (one very very loose) so I have to find a source of dollar coins someplace.
A quarter for a tooth still sounds pretty good to me. I'm gonna take a stand and say the tooth fairy doesn't leave folding money - she's hauling around bags of change and bags of teeth.
(Eta that since my world does not contain anyone likely to lose teeth at the moment, I can be wholly abstract about it)
Dammit, I'm 37; shouldn't I be all settled into a career path by now?!
That's a 20th century expectation, Erin, we'r all supposed to be fluid and reacting to changing circumstances these days.

Rojas is Alibelle. Who I don't have to bother on Facebook, as she is just down the hall. I can stick my head out of my office and look right into her doorway. Cool to have a Buffista right here, huh?
What, I didn't know that? Cool!

I swear, that is the only source of dollar coins.
I remember the one time I got a whole dollar bill from the Tooth Fairy--I had to get my two front teeth pulled by the dentist (one had a really long root), so I think my grandma (whose place I spent the night at) felt sorry for me and bumped up my usual quarter-per-tooth.
Some food vending machines use dollar coins for change.
