I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Scrappy, how often does she normally talk to him??

How often do y'all normally talk to your parents? Especially those that live not in the same city/area? I talk to mine roughly once a week--I find I call them more often than they call me, these days, because if I haven't talked to them in a while, I call to pre-empt them calling me and saying "we haven't heard from you lately...". :)

But my brother, who lives in the Czech Republic, probably talks to them less often than that. Maybe every few weeks or so.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I live an hour from my parents; we mostly only talk on the phone if we're making plans. Mom and I email every day and if I go too long without responding she starts to worry.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

How often do y'all normally talk to your parents?

I live in the same city as my parents, and I *try* to call them once a week. Of course, sometimes that doesn't happen, and when I do call I get the "Oh, we have a daughter?" comment. No matter how often I point out that THEY could call ME. The last time I pointed this out to my mom, she said "Well, you have time to update your LJ ..."

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I don't get on the phone with my folks very often, but they are on the east coast and I am on the west. timing is tricky. But we email all the time. life stuff, stupid stuff, jokes , and comments about their politicians ( my folks are in SC) Plus they read my blog -- so comments show up there , too.

DH talks to his folks once a week, but they don't email.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I talk to my parents a couple times a week, usually a result of Dylan wanting to call them.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Several times a year? More often, email/chat.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

About once a week. Longer than that, my mom is convinced I am dead and being devoured. Y my cats.

I am sick today, with a nasty cold I've passed on to my bf. Also, my dad went in for a catheterization (which he didn't tell me because he didn't "want me to worry"!) and the blockage was so bad they put in FOUR stents.

He's at KU Med, and fine -- goes home tomorrow morning. But I couln't even go see him because I'm sick, and it sucks.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I call my mom once a week. She believes daughters ought to talk to their mothers every DAY. I'm more of a "momentous occasions" kinda communicator. We have an excellent compromise: she pays my cell phone bill, and i return all her calls (with a "grouping" clause: when she calls seven times i rapid sucession with all the little tidbits she forgot, i only have to make one return phone call) and make a valiant effort to call her once a week for no reason other than to "chat."

Regularly, once a week for an hour or two, sometimes more often. Try to talk to my brother that often, but his schedule is crazy and with kids, so a lot more IM these days.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

and when I do call I get the "Oh, we have a daughter?" comment. No matter how often I point out that THEY could call ME.

They must have that special phone my parents have. Only works to call me on my birthday and when someone is in the hospital.

Which, drat, I have to call them.
