You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I like smishing! Smish away!

And thanks, y'all.

Barb, um, I *think* my iron has been checked somewhat recently? I can check w/ my PCP. I haven't noticed any random bruising or anything and if the last time (when I had mono) is any indicator, there would be serious random bruising.

And yes, my thyroid has been checked, and no, not just the test that is sometimes wrong but the whole shebang. My doc today said it was a shame it wasn't my thyroid, since that's such an easy fix, but then it hasn't turned out that way for my sis.

And - a lot of y'all know this - it's been, like, eight years of feeling pretty shitty a lot of the time. I just emailed my dance troupe to take a hiatus, b/c even dance isn't fun anymore. And that really scares me, b/c it's been one of the few consistently enjoyable things in my life for the last six years.

Okay, back to PR and infinitesimal productivity. You know it's bad when watching tv seems almost more effort than it's worth.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I'd be happy to distract or tour guide or something to help.

That's really kind, omnis - thank you! The Girl spent several of her childhood years in Houston, so she's pretty comfortable there - and I think she'll be too busy with family stuff to need distraction, especially as she'll only be there a few days. But that's really sweet of you. If I ever go there with her (she goes quite often), we'll try to find a way to meet up with you!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Went to the doctor today. I got a newer, better, more complicated ankle brace; a prescription for physical therapy; and a prescription for Tylenol 3. And a doctor who actually acknowledged that I am in pain, and that being in pain sucks.

Just got back from the pharmacy. On the way there, a random guy stopped me on the street to ask, "Where you from? Your people ain't from this country, are they?"

I have emailed my advisor three times since Sunday to ask to set up a time to meet sometime Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Still no response.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of celebrity tweeting, I just saw this pic of Nathan Fillion and the Doc Horrible Emmy. Very cute.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Really?

I should try some iron. Or get it checked. Something.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

JEEZIS, CASS!!!! GET SOME IRON!

It occurs to me that maybe I should too...

I really need to have my iron levels checked again. Supposedly taking folic acid (which I am on) can also help increase iron levels, so maybe mine has gone up. I try to eat more read meat, but taking iron pills makes me so sick.

I'm sorry, smonster. I hope the new AD works out (along with all the other things you're doing to get better). And I hope you're feeling up to dancing again, soon.

By the way, I found something for you on Crete. It's being shipped with a bunch of other stuff, and I'll let you know when it gets here.

a really dysfunctional relationship with gravity.

That describes me perfectly.
