Anyhoo - reasons that T (my Very Autistic Kid) is awesome, number 872: not only does he have a tendancy to express himself thus: "Oh Em Jee!" but the other day when it was home time, and he'd scooted back into the class, and I'd chased him back out, and he'd scooted back in, and I rounded him up again, and was all "Dude - shoes! Hat! Home! Go!" he pointed out that there's no a/c in the corridor (which is open onto the courtyard), and I had to grant this, but reiterated that he needed to line up with the rest of us, to which he retorted: "Fail! Epic fail!" and I collapsed into giggles.
Also? He uses emoticons in his writing sometimes. Which strikes me as awesome. (And his writing is v. good.)
This week in Literacy we are learning how to write our own Mary Sue and composing Star Wars fanfic. Because I am awesome.
Oooh - hey, some of our faithful listeners may recall earlier seasons of
Fay's Adventures In Teaching,
which featured manga-eyed Ray: The Cutest Kid In The World? Well, I've got some of the kids from that class again, including wee Ray. Only it's 3 years later, and now they can do much more stuff! Yay!

Yeah, I was uncomfortable knowing that much about E. I think it's cool to tell personal shit about ourselves, but offspring? Not so much. I think he'd be mortified to know it was discussed here.

Please, lovely Bitches with the effective ~ma, could we have some for The Girl's family? Her father is having tests for that illness that people don't like to talk about for fear of fate. She was terribly upset this morning, because the tests are for what Swayze just lost his battle with. And it's a big secret so I can only discuss it here. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Thanks, Shir. I didn't mean to cross-post with your link to the wedding write up. That sounds amazing! I don't know Nilly at all (I find Natter a bit scary, so I've never talked to her), but how wonderful for her - it sounds like it was beautiful. It was fab that she updated from her preparation too!
Oh Seska, I totally understand. That's life, and when you collect several of them into a message boards, there will be times of good and bad combined.
And I hope your bad will turn into good.
I can't wait Nilly to approve the pictures. Damn. But that will probably take a while.

A slight disappointment today. My brilliant work on photography got 90 (I know, I shouldn't bitch about it, but a. this is Bitches, and b. my first semester paper, which I thought honestly should get a 75-85, got a 100. So with all of the expectations I had for this one...). That's because my lecturer didn't quite get it, but was kind enough to give me that grade because it was "bold and interesting" (and until the final chapter or two of it, covered with "excellent!"s). And if he, with whom I was in one mind most of the year didn't get it, I'm not quite sure who will. And I really looked forward to read his remarks on this, and there were not too many of them.
I think I'll have to translate it and post it in my blog. Just, you know, so I'll have the feeling that someone's getting me and my head.
