Happy birthday billtea and happy day-after-your-birthday Polter-Cow and happy day one and all.
Hee. Thank you (and everyone else). It has now been the day after my birthday for a while, since I am on the other side of the International Date Line. I is now 40. I'm sure I'll start acting like it any day now.
Anyway, I just got back from picking up my birthday present - I have an iPhone! And no real idea how to use it yet. Still, today I'm feeling all tech-savvy just through association.
Random. Searching thru streaming Netlix, I see original BSG. Is that Face from A-team as Starbuck?
Yay for iPhone! Somehow I don't think I can call you for free just because you have an iPhone.

Hey, all you can do is try.
Yay iPhone!
Oh, and also.
I GOT THE INTERNSHIP! Step two: getting into HUJI School of History, and the year will be sweet.
Toast.
Is there a name for the terrible mix of embarrassment, frustration, confusion and self-reproach that one feels when one erroneously posts as someone else on the internet?
I'm at a friend's house, waiting in for the plumber for her while she's at the doctor. We post on the same disability messageboard. I forgot to sign her out, and posted as her. I quickly got the post deleted, but not quickly enough to avoid confusing some people. Ah, boards without self-delete or edit functions, how I despise you - why can't you learn from b.org? Sigh.
"English"
Heh. Yes, I feel English quite a lot these days.
Have now dropped a cup of tea all over my friend's chair. And with my new wrist splints on, and everything.
I should go home and go back to bed...
All kinds of ~ma headed to Nora and family.
Good to hear your mom is released, Hil.
In frivolous news: i watched "vampire diaries". it was even worse than expected.
I didn't make it past about 45 seconds. I watched the cowboy thing on SwhyFwhy for a little while then gave up on live TV and went to bed with a book.
Congrats, Shir!
Oh dear, Seksa. English and human. Hope the day improves.
Hey, billytea. Supposedly life begins at 40. I had my kids at that age too, so it was a new life that started then for sure.
... And I just got a call from School of History.
It's a nope, even before the interview. Because I'm missing 0.8 points to the grade they want.
Goddamn department. I really wanted that. You know, to actually think during my B.A., not only to chew up articles they know by heart.
