Your VegFest post made me totally envious. We need something like that around here. (Or more to the point, I need to figure out if we have something like that around here.)
Where's "around here" for you again? Chicago? This seems to be VegFest season -- I keep seeing ads for them in all different cities.
Whoa, the Chicago VeggieFest looks cool. [link] It was in August, though. That webpage says there were over 100 exhibitors. I think the DC one had about 20.
As a tenuous link to VeggieFest, I have a crockpot full of vegetarian chili simmering away, and the whole house smells excellent.
My efforts to be green when doing laundry got foiled by the dog (the one we consider the "good" dog) -- I hung a bunch of laundry on the clothesline in the backyard, which I've done almost every warm weekend since I've lived here.
The "good" dog peed on the bottom of the longest dress and my long nightgown. He's never done anything like that before. The Boy said that the dog was likely pointing out that I hung my laundry in his territory. Fair point, but it makes it hard for me to be environmentally friendly about drying my clothes. Sheesh.
I'm sure the voicemail was as much endearing as it was awkward.
If it is, then it's a good start!
Birthday Happies, Polter-Cow!
Oh, Steph. That's awful.
Currently watching whatever that movie is where they kidnap the kid that has Timberlake in it.
Dinner is meatloaf and tater tots. Healthy day.
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Sunil!!! And Happy Birthday Free Shortcake!!!
I may need to make shortcake. Except I don't actually make the biscuits, I just make very oversized and slightly undercooked sugar cookies.
Oh, Steph. That's awful.
Well, it's a cotton t-shirt material dress, black, so there's no stain, and I can just toss it back in the washer (which I already did). And the nightgown is a cotton gauze-y thing which can also go back in the wash.
But yeah, given the choice, I'd prefer that the dog NOT pee on my clean laundry. I had a Talk with him about how in this house we don't pee on clean clothing. Or any clothing, really.
And now I want tater tots.
