Vortex, I'm trying out the CI recipe that came out in their most recent issue (since I don't have a chicken & dumpling recipe to fall back on)
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I was trying to find my recipe and couldn't so I decided to be lazy and look it up on the 'net. I found a recipe that uses bacon drippings to make the dumplings. FOR THE WIN.
We were going to grill for Labor Day/ FSU-VS Miami game. Mom got a grill and as we were putting it together there's a huge flaw on the hood. So it's going back tomorrow and no grilling.
So steaks cooked on the stovetop/oven. I've got leeks and mushrooms to use up so I'm thinkign some kind of saucey thing with that. I found some sweet potatoes and I'm currently roasting those and with carrots and garlic and I'm going to do some kind of mashed potato-carrot thing. And cook the zucchini.
I'll see how it turns out.
I'm making enchiladas - my standby CI recipe. Using chicken breasts this time instead of thighs since that's what I had in the freezer. We'll see how much of a difference it makes. I'm guessing not too much.
I'm coming down with something. So I ate leftover pizza and I'm going to crawl in bed with a cup of tea when the FSU/Miami game starts.
That's my go-to for enchiladas also. I do think the thighs work better but the breasts are fine.
I'm trying to come up with something interesting to do with the huge cauliflower I picked up yesterday.
It took the longest time today to figure out that "FSU" was a sports team.
I could repeat my oft-repeated mantra "I'm obviously not from the same planet as the rest of you", but I'm sure it's boring by now.
Dare I ask what other translations you went through before landing on the correct one?
Brenda, I like my cauliflower pureed with a ton of cheese. Not the world's healthiest preparation, but on the up side you get to eat a ton of cheese.
Brenda, I like this recipe a lot: [link]

but there's a vegetable involved, so it's okay.
