Andi, when I went to have one taken off, my doc suggested that I could do it myself. You just need to hold an ice cube on it to numb it and use a pair of really sharp scissors--or I guess nail clippers would work.
I may do that on my next one considering my share of the doctor's visit was $200.

I've used nail scissors. Alcohol before, alcohol after, alcohol on scissors, anti-b ointment on band-aid. Never had a problem. I even did one on the corner of my eyelid once because it was driving me bonkers and I couldn't wait for the optometrist my dermatologist wanted me to see.
