I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I am somewhat tall (6ft on a good day) and fat, so I have to find something that fits both. I was very surprised to find that the little Grand Am (And their replacement G6? I dunno) and the new VW bugs have lots of room for both. At least I can afford the old Grand Am models.

Or maybe because I'm so large, I have the seat back further.

I dunno.

Trust my rage

Didn't someone here (Kristin?) end up with a $600 phone bill incorrectly paid via auto pay? I always think about that story when pondering autopay. I pay bills twice a month and if it's due between the 25-30th or 10-14th, it's likely to be late.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

On a good day - I put the bills into the computer when they arrive ( some via snail mail - others show up online at my bank) so they get paid on the due date. In reality -- once a week I put them in and every three months or so -- I miss one. but I swear that our at & T bill does not always arrive.

Our wings are not tired.

I use mycheckfree.com for a lot of bills because it's easier for me to manage my household bills all in one place electronically.

All is well that ends in pizza.

So... Tonight I was defrosting the refrigerator when Andi came home, so we ordered some curried shrimp, General Tso's and a couple of other things form the nearby takeaway.

After supper, I was still working on the freezer, so we put the leftovers in the microwave while I worked at the big chunks o neglect that was the freezer compartment. (We really have to buy a frost free...)

Anyway, after the whole process was done I went up and took a shower, then fell asleep afterward.

I woke up after a bit and came downstairs and puttered around, then remembered the leftovers.

Being a little sleepy I didn't think to look at the clock until I had eaten two chunks of General Tso's chicken.

It was 4 AM.

That means the food had been sitting out at 68-70 degrees for at least 7 hours.

I am a bit freaked, but not too much.

Not confident enough to keep eating it.

Tossing the rest.

Damn shame, tho.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Poor food. Poor Hil. Poor smonster. Yay omnis for not going (right?)? But poor all the lovely woo bar ladies for missing the chance to pick you up.

Why does my mother think that I know where she put the fancy tablecloth after Rosh Hashanah last year?

Not just your mother, Hil. Not just your mother.

Good morning east coasters! I just got home from a party, where I was of the last group to leave. And drove a cute girl home and made out with her! Sadly, she's only in town for the weekend. Ah well.

“Not dead yet!”

But still-- cute girl! And making out!

I'm not nearly as awake as the exclamation points would lead one to believe. More coffee.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Anything I don't have on autopay is likely to be late. I consider that totally financially responsible. It's better than risking the a) late fees and b) hassle of having things reconnected.

This is me, in sum. Those to whom you owe money don't care how you pay it.
