Daniel, I told Ellie about the giant gummi bear and she loved it. She likes those thngs on ice cream, which Is all yuck to me, but kids love weird stuff
ION, Joe and I ran into the daughter of one of joes best friends while getting ice cream. We last saw them when we lived here five years ago. She recognized Joe but we didn't recognize her. She's now 18, pregnant, didn't graduate, and has been on and off meth since 14. So sad and scared the crap out of me. Her dad says his deployment started it which scared me even more.

Cool. I'll have to bookmark that site in case I need a date for an event....
Have a great trip, Calli!
Have a great time, Calli!
Okay, so OK Cupid sent me a match. He mentions sci fi and fandom, so I think cool. He's Irish, fun. He says "if you're interested in making Star Trek films, I'd love to meet you" which raised an eyebrow, and then one of his profile pics was him in a homemade Trek uniform (of course, what does it say about me that I immediately recognize it as homemade because the emblem's not Federation). Too geeky?
Oh, another issue is that I can't see how tall he is. Call me heightist, but if you're shorter than six feet, you gotta wow me.
I am on holiday. It is about ninety degrees. I am sitting at the bar near the pool and have just finished Stephen Fry's novel 'Making History'. There is no bad here.
Ryan pics! He is utterly adorable.
Vortext - he sounds interesting. Online stuff often starts off a bit weird. With The Girl, who I met on an online dating/networking thingy, I had several "oh crap, she's [insert thing I find tricky here]" moments before deciding just to go for it and meet her. It appears to be working out well. Our children will be confused on many, many levels, but we mostly just shout at each other until I win, then go out for breakfast. We always agree about breakfast.
Calli, have a great trip!

Hey, he has his own Star Trek uniform.
Today is wacky day on OKC. Turns out Star Trek guy is 5'9", so no. Had a match with another guy who was 6'2 and athletic (red flag! not that being athletic is inherently bad, but it tends to conflict with my love of lying on the couch and watching the Food Network) If you're not familiar with OKC, there are questions that you can have your match answer. The questions that you pick are as telling as what the other person answers. First question - would you consider contacting two people online for a threesome. Second question - in sex, would you prefer tying up or being tied up. Third question -- in sex, do you prefer to be the one giving or receiving pain.
Now, I don't think that there's anything wrong with threesomes, bondage or s&m, but I kinda think that you might want to actually meet the person before broaching this kind of thing. OTOH, if that's what you're in to, it might be good to weed out the naysayers right away.
