Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
had meeting with my boss and ubber boss, going over what went well and what needs improvement from this past year. An impromptu evaluation. Ubber boss looks at my boss and says "[boss] has done many good things this season, but by far, the best thing he did was hiring you. If he had done nothing else this season, we would have still said [boss] did a great job." Then boss went on to say things like (forget direct quotes) "O_A, you bring a level of professionalism to the theater, and this department that is sorely needed..." and other flattery, ego boosting things. I blushed a bit. And, did *not* put it off, but actually said thank you! I think I learned how to take a compliment.
Gotta love ego boosts, no? Hopefully that equates to pay raise over the summer when fiscal year changes.
That may be the best job evaluation I've ever heard, omnis. Yay you!
Erin, hooray for being free of troublesome girly bits. May their banishment enable you, post recovery, to have even more fun with the fun bits!
And be careful with yourself, and don't pick up anything heavy, or anything much bigger than a bottle of pain meds or a trashy novel.
We may, possibly, just maybe have a buyer for the car. I hope, hope, hope. Just reduced the price to $1250 this morning and got a call from a mechanic's sister in the South Bay. They're coming at 2. Please, please, please?
Yay for good review, omnis!!
Yay for healthy-feeling after surgery, Erin!!
Good luck on the car sale, JZ and Hec!!
I get to leave here in half an hour for my first mammogram. I'm really not looking forward to the squish, but since I am at least two years overdue, it's about time I go.
I found that the squish is not the bad part, but the machine pressing against your sternum is not pleasant. Mammograms are easier for the well endowed. Mmmmm, boobies.
Go Kathy!! Squish them boobs. I didn't mind the squish as much as the hanging out between pictures. Literally hanging out. Not so much on the fun meter.
Car sale~ma!
Congrats omnis!
And speedy recovery~ma, Erin. Hopefully you have already called for more Vicodin.
Mammograms are easier for the well endowed.
::looks down at the C-cups that would be B-cups if I were thinner::
Well, damn.
I found that the squish is not the bad part, but the machine pressing against your sternum is not pleasant. Mammograms are easier for the well endowed. Mmmmm, boobies.
Mammograms freak me out because of the squishing and that's why I've been putting it off. But I should really, really do it soon. for real.
yay for you Connie - esp after that weirdness about being more into your job. I swear, be happy that someone does there job well and who cares about ambition.
Yay for you omnis!
Glad you are home and doing better Erin.
Sorry the kids are misbehaving , vw, but I guess that is what they do.
ION, we hve to start cobra and I just don't want to deal with this shit. And no, we have no idea what is happening with the co of 1 billion interviews.
I just got an email from a place we've stayed before. offering bargin rates for this weekkend. Bah. This just wasn't what I need to see right now.
Please do it soon, lisah.
The squishage may also depend on the experience level of the person doing it. I had mine done by a squisher with many years' experience who really knew her way around the machine; she got all the views she needed and had me in and out, with nothing worse than mild discomfort, in less than 15 minutes.
I had my first mammogram last month. The squishage was surprisingly not a problem. Sure, there was some, but it wasn't to the point of pain. Rather more annoying was the phone call saying they needed to re-squish some areas. It's probably nothing, but that's just one more thing I didn't want to deal with.
