Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My second experiment with dehydrating stuff is currently dehydrating. Granola bars this time, made with various sorts of whole grains, almond butter, agave nectar, a handful of dried goji berries, and a handful of pumpkin seeds. If this works, it'll be breakfast tomorrow.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Ya'll have lots of particulate masks, yes? That smoke is wicked on lungs.

That does sound fun, erin_o.

best luck to lewis and co.

and yay for finger gauze! I had a wicked fall on my unfinished patio -- scraped knee, scraped hand, scraped arm and the bottom of a big toe -- well scrapped. Finger gauze keeps the taped gauze in place Very cool

Ouchies, beth. Be careful, please.

I have eaten the most perfect tomato ever, sweet and tangy. It was a yellow tomato gotten at a farmers' market. I sliced it, put a little mayo, salt and pepper on it. I may never bother to eat another tomato, because they will all pale in comparison.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Gorgeous, terrifying photos. Everyone, be safe.

Thanks for the lipstick recs, Plai and Cass. I'll try them.

WindSparrow, you're making my mouth water for my mom's homegrown tomatoes.

Our wings are not tired.

Remembers last tomato consumed, and cries. This isn't the time of year here for tomatoes. I may have to take a trip to NY to snag some real ones from my niece's garden.

Is it really Monday? I'm avoiding getting out for my morning walk, but it gets warmer as I procrastinate.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I just drove Abby to school and it was amazing how humid and hot it already was. Yet, at the same time, it's markedly cooler than it was last week. Bleh. Dog days of summer indeed.

Librarian Warlord

DC is actually going to have a nice day, today. Low humidity and in the 70s. I wish I didn't have to work. Bah!

I have skipped like a skippy thing, so ~ma to those that need it.

Now I have to get some work done. After I finish my tea.

::sips very slowly because I am not mentally prepared for Monday::
