Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

ita! It's been a hell of a too-much time since I last saw you here, in these hours.

I missed you.

(And as for the Noa Tishby - would it help if I'll write her name in Hebrew, in search of pictures of her?)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

(What's a Twinkie?)

It's a snack cake. A sort of sponge cake, with "creme" filling. The filling is made of lard, the cake itself is largely chemical, and there have been various experiments over the years where people have done things like left a Twinkie on a balcony for several years, taking pictures of it every few months, and by the end of the experiment, it still looks exactly the same, except for maybe a little dirt.

Hummm. So no Twinkie for me.

ita, here are the results for Noa Tishby pictures in Hebrew: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I missed chatting with you too, Shir. I try to fight the insomnia by lying down and not posting. Variable success. I was up this morning at 4.

I did a google search on her Englishised name and so far I've put these up of her. Additional shots ALWAYS welcome.

Good luck, ita. Kick her ass.

Woohoo! Put up a few more from the Hebrew search too. She had a fighting role on the show and looked really solid. And elegant.

Glad to help, Ms. ita.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ello.

Not trying to skim 300+ posts. I'll just hope that everyone is OK, well-fed and happy.

Moved out of my room in student halls in Leeds. Attempted to fit everything from there into my tiny flat, having several temper tantrums along the way because my desk/little 'office' corner just isn't big enough. Registered our intention to form a civil partnership (this means we are now officially engaged - although we've been engaged for three years, so that's a bit weird). Set myself up for collecting potential research participants at the Greenbelt festival. Started training a new PA.

And that's just the last 48 hours...

I need a day of doing nothing, but I have to unpack more clothes and then pack for the Greenbelt festival. Hmm.

Wow, Seska, that's a hell lot! Good luck. And congrats on the civil partnership registration!

ION, made a progress with my paper. I now know *exactly* what I'll write about, and sadly gave up on few of the more interesting aspects of science and photography.

Also, I dislike Barthes. Over dramatic much?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Morning, Bitches! What are people up to today?

Seska, you must be exhausted.

I am happy to report that Aunt C was doing better than I expected her to be doing when we visited last night. The IV antibiotics seem to be doing what they are supposed to do, and she is hoping to be out of the hospital before her granddaughter's birthday party on Sunday. Speaking of which, I need to figure out what to buy a 5 year old girl between now and then.
