What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Crackheads hurt themselves the most, maybe. Definitely prefer the addicted to birthers, though in this case hope BINAO.

Everyone seen this video of a woman shouting "Heil Hitler" at an Israeli man at a town hall meeting? [link] My question is, why is that woman wearing an Israeli Army shirt?

Um. Uh. I. I dunno what to say after that video. Clearly I'm glad I didn't go to the town hall meeting tonight. The faux bawling argument... Um. Huh?!? And I still don't get how "socialized" health care equates to Nazi/Hitler?? Facism is at the opposite end of the spectrum for socialism. Right? Am I mis-remembering something? @@

the video did make me wonder how the Israeli health care system works.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There's another video of that same woman, a few minutes earlier, talking about how she believes in Biblical values. And how her husband doesn't have health insurance, therefore we shouldn't be talking about giving health insurance to immigrants, or something. [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The crazies make my head hurt.

ION, nephew D is starting 8th grade at the end of the month! Really there needs to be a cure for this crazy growing up thing that is happening so fast.

Yes. Mine too. Can we have our island yet? We can steal some windmills and wind turbines. Grab some seeds so we can plant our own food. Become isolationists! Protect us from the crazies! Where is the Gilligan Island Tour when you want it!?!?

And, yeah. I want the Buffista island, too.

But, why island? Couldn't we just start a state, somewhere? I hear there's tons of land in Africa.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Noooooo!

Why, why does my faculty advisor has to be one of the ones who never got me and the way I'm thinking?

I need to ask him, or anyone there, a very important question. I'll try to pass around him as much as I can, but dude. Not fair.

Edited-in-order-not-to-triple-post-here: it's not gonna work out the way I wanted it - but it doesn't mean it wouldn't work out at all. I'm trying to apply to a program in history, sociology and philosophy of sciences. The formal way of taking it would be giving up on one of my majors and take it instead. But since I'm already taking history and sociology, and it's only 3 courses difference in what I want to take from that program ('On Truth' - how can I resist such class?) and what I can take in my program today, I'll probably stick to the devil I know, and beg my class advisers (someone remind me the difference between advisor and adviser?) to allow me to experiment with the history, sociology and philosophy of sciences program as elective classes.

If I won't make it to the HUJI School of History, that is.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

There has to be a way to make that work, Shir. I hope you find it, but even more, I hope you get into the HUJI School of History.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Everyone seen this video of a woman shouting "Heil Hitler" at an Israeli man at a town hall meeting? [link] My question is, why is that woman wearing an Israeli Army shirt?

Yeah, that's part of what I was talking about yesterday, I just didn't provide links. Also, apparently, she's wearing crucifix earrings. Surely that wardrobe is FAIL of some kind.

Shir, I hope you get to take the courses you want.
