Oh, wow. This place looks great. Oh, I feel like a witch in a magic shop.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Am I going to die now?

You'll know within a couple hours. If you don't have violent diarrhea you'll be fine.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Strained muscle for my Mom. Prescription, rest, ice for 20 minutes every two hours for a few days, alternating ice and heat starting the third day. NSAID of choice.

Dr. asked if there my 87 year Mom had engaged in any strenuous activities today. She replied: "Well, I carried some heavy books on the bus for our reading group and political discussion group, and then there was the aerobics class, and the weightlifting. But given where the strain is, it was probably the breathing exercises for the Senior Rock & Roll choir."

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Your mom rocks, TB. I'm glad it's nothing.

Now, smart bitches, would you help me to understand if this is a yay or nay?

"The logistical nightmare of getting all the talent to sign off might deter us from doing this, great idea though".

I was seconds away from sending a "but it can be done!" email, before realizing the "might" part means they will (or might) gonna try to work it.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Sounds like they haven't decided, to me, Shir. Worth sending off the encouraging 'can be done' response anyway?

I'm much better than I was, but I need to kick this headache and inability to stay awake for more than two hours. Then I can actually get back to doing things with my life. SO bored.

Dudette, that's what the interwebs are for!

Also, glad you're feeling better.

Sigh. Am stuck. Suspecting a link between positivism and conformation bias (and trying to find a paper/thinker that has something enlightening to say about it) is harder than I thought it'll be.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I put the cooked breast on the very same plate that I had opened the thawed breast over. And only after I was done did I realize that some of excess juice and fat I dumped into the drain before eating was actually some of the water that had been packaged with the RAW CHICKEN.

You're in an episode of Arrested Development!

Never did get along well with quantitative methodologies. Sounds about right, though. I am opposed to positivism more on philsophical grounds than methodological ones (although those too). I can give you some links to a Disability Studies view on positivism, if you really want to be distracted from your actual task...

Dudette, that's what the interwebs are for!

So someone give me distractions that don't involve being awake for more than an hour, or actually using any brain power or coordination ability.

Edited because the correct spelling is quantitative. I need to go back to sleep.

If I were you, I'd look into some web comics. Or Muppets' reruns.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So I attended the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan council kick-off last night. I am officially a Girl Scout leader, like my mother and her mother before her.
