Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Remember my highly annoying doctor visit last *Monday* when the doctor seemed to think my complaints were all in my head? He calls this morning to say they were all in my head: he finally consulted with the radiologist and the x-rays they took show a big honking sinus infection on the side of my face that has felt stuffed up and like someone was poking my face with a soldering iron for the last month. He prescribed antibiotics, which I have to go pick up. I was picking up prescriptions Friday. Wouldn't that have been a lovely time to start dealing with this misery? He thinks the antibiotics may clear up the very painful tongue too. I'd really like that cleared up. I had to order something in "mild" the other day and it was a blow to my ego.
eta: You have my sympathy, DJ, because he was here too. That stupid fairy gets around.
Toddson, I half expected to see a panorama of Jesus making zombies, done in Peeps. That photo is much saner and far less creepy.
I miss Daniel. I woke up at 6 am feeling sick to my stomach, fed the cats, and when the tummy calmed down, I went back to bed. I just did not have it in me to wait up for another hour and a half for him to get up, to hang around with him over breakfast. Slept right through it.
At least my tummy feels better.
I have a verdict on Rose --
The good news -- no fleas!
The bad news -- the hair loss is an allergic reaction to -- something. The vet doesn't know what, she said it could be anything. The curtains at the front window, the carpet, dust mites. But there's no way to tell. She did give her a steroid shot but that's a short term fix.
I called the lady I got Rose from and she seemed reluctant to take Rose back, she wants Rose to find a forever home. And I'd like to keep her, but really this isn't fair to her. The cat is obviously miserable and she can't stay here. So I have to call her after work and tell her I'll bring Rose to her. Which is sad because she's such a sweet cat.
I'm sorry Rose could not stay with you, Askye.

And yet, you thought of it.
Backs away from WS slowly
What?
Toddson, you said "sweet". You said "zombie". You said, "Jesus". Peeps are undoubtedly THE creepiest candies around - seriously, not even gummy worms compete. Where else could my mind go?
::ssshhhh:: Fay's a skimmer, pass it on.
Tep, that link worked fine for me.
Cash, don't feel bad, I knew how to pronounce it before I knew how to spell it. The first time I actually saw them in the bakery I didn't recognize them because of the discord between spelling and pronunciation.
And I have two boxes of them just for meeee! Raspberry and lemon. I may have to visit people to get rid of some of them. Neither of the grocery stores I stopped at sold them as singles, so I was forced (forced, I tell you!) to buy boxes.
askye, I started to post earlier that I had a cat with allergies who would get tiny hives and lose fur. In her case, it was seasonal, and usually one cortisone shot a year would do it. Rose's could be something like that.
So, I fell this morning. I ripped up the palm of my right hand pretty damn good. Part of it is still bleeding. Or possibly it's puss (that would be bad, right?).
Why is it always something?
