I figured it was something like that, Sparky, you being you. But without the context it kind of set off my "boundaries, Will Robinson" alarms.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
In small world news, lisah's guitarist from SCS also applied for that job. I'm pretty sure he didn't get it, though.
Well, the upside is that he goes back to looking for jobs and the primary pools seem to be Austin, Seattle, and the San Jose area. All places I'd be good with, but the latter two have the added benefit of many friends.

Well, my crappy 1.5 page essay is written, but on the bright side I have 19 beautiful slides to go with it! That should keep me talking for 7-10 minutes.
I still have a few things to do at home (uh, finish packing) but it will get done and I will get on the road.
Thanks for the -ma and cuddles and such.
Later, Bitches!

(Oh, were it only that easy to get to KENTUCKY)
I'm going over to see Friends for dinner tonight at their new place. They are a young couple with an almost 1 year old baby, and this is not their first place. I was thinking of getting them a $25 gift card to Home Depot and a vase with fresh flowers, good idea?
Home Depot and fresh flowers are always good. You might be able to skip the vase, unless you're buying them something in particular.
I think I will just pick up a basic vase from Target, because I won't have time to get the flowers on the way out, and I don't want them to wilt. Or maybe I'll get them.a plant, herbs maybe?
I like the plant idea. Everybody could probably use a pot of parsley.
Go for the plant, sj. I have had to put basic glass vases in recycling because I just don't have the space for them (I have 3 vases in my office right now from flowers people gave to me when I came back to work!)
K, plant it is. Thanks for the advice, everyone! Now, I just need to find the motivation to get my ass out of the house.
ION: the low was 72 last night.
Normally, that's the *high*.
Suddenly not missing the weather in Seattle.
Though it wasn't THAT much cooler here last night, the daytime highs have been nowhere near as bad.
I could do without the drinkable air, however.
