[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

Askye, if you aren't doing anything different, is it possible that someone else is hooked in on your power bill due to some mistake either at the power company or at the apartment complex? Signed, happened to me.

Love Louise Black. I haven't watched Project Runway in a while, but I might now.

Also I just got my utlity bill. I have no idea what I've been doing but my electric usage nearly doubled from last month. I'm going to have a huge final utility bill.

Are you running fans or an AC?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

So hungry the nasty looking nachos the guy across the table is eating are sounding good. DW is getting Felicia Day to sign something then we eat!

Thrive to spite them

I had the a/c running and we had a week of 100+ heat so it's probably from that. I was talking to my Mom and her bill went up but over $100 from last month.

So I'm going to blame it on that.

I also just posted a 3 comment length long rant about health care on someone's wall. He voted No on the poll about Obama's health care plan and made this comment

I'm sorry but I am sick of paying for other people's problems.

And I went off and it makes me mad I'm about to go off on another rant about how as a part of a society we help each other.

It's happened to me before from an AC too. Sorry.

Yes, I'm sure that Tylenol the doctor prescribed for you while in the hospital really does cost $10. You just get a discount at the drug store. :: hits with clue-by-four :: Dummy, of COURSE you are paying for other peoples problems!

Sorry. Had to say it. I know, preaching to the choir.

Speaking of...

(though I have to say, as a regular churchgoer who would consider you totally snoggable if I were single, your yellow flag #1 made me sigh regretfully)
Let me clarify. Church goer does not make a flag. The flag was more, the feeling that, well, she would want me to be too. I have no qualms of someone going to church. If that is their thing. Fine. Just don't be a judgmental on me because I *don't* go to church. She was telling the story of a house guest who left the nest, since he quit the job of working for Mom & Dad, and was a HUGE Freddy/Freeloader type. And she was like "if you are here, you need to go to church" and he was like "no, then I have to wear a suit, and it's oppression from 'the man'..." blah blah blah. But, the thing I gleaned is, Hmm, I might *have* to go to church. NSM. You can go. Have fun. Tell me what you learned. We can have a great chat. I'll sleep in. Hopefully that reduces the sigh just a bit.

Omnis, how do I put this elegantly? She sounds icky.
I dunno if she's icky. But there does seem to be some conflicting things there. But then again, that was one of the things that confused me about Bush(II). If you are as Christian as you say, why do you favor the rich so much? Wasn't there some story about a camel, and a needle eye, and better chances of passing that then a rich man passing the gates into heaven???

I'm going to Houston this weekend. So, won't see her. I think she's fine as an acquaintance. Certainly helps to introduce me to the more geeky side of Dallas, which I had been missing.

OK, time to sit in traffic. Wheeeeeee!

Our wings are not tired.

Whatever the case, I admire you for getting out there and meeting people. That is SO important. And I don't want you to get your hopes deflated if this one doesn't work out. You're doing awesome just seeking out new people. And even if she doesn't end up being someone you date, you've opened up the dating arena by meeting her. Good on ya!

I misunderstood him.

He doesn't think people are lazy. He just doesn't think health care is a right.

I may have to remove him from my list.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Well, unless you want to have that conversation a million more times. Personally, I wouldn't. It's right up there with the male libertarians obsessed with(a woman's, not theirs) "right" to sell their ass. grr...hulk smash!ETA: Although it is kind of funny to watch them back away slowly when you suggest this as a way for LibGuy to solve his own student-loan type dilemmas. Cause, you know, he didn't mean his ass, just some hot chick's.
