[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I love Morningstar mini corndogs.

Teppy, you look very domestic and adorable.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

In a fit of trying to use up all the stuff in my fridge, I just ended up with kohlrabi-apple slaw. Or something like that. Grated kohlrabi and apples, with a dressing made with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, mustard, Veganaise, and a pinch of sugar. Pretty good, and I think it'll be better tomorrow once the flavors meld a bit and the kohlrabi and apple soften a little.

I just remembered that there are three things I need to do tomorrow that I keep forgetting to do. I decided to send myself an email with the list, so that I wouldn't forget again. In the time it took me to get out of bed, open my computer, and get to gmail, I forgot one of the things. So, tomorrow, I need to pick up my new glasses, do laundry, and something else. Maybe I'll remember tomorrow.

am home. Um. Dang it, no snogging. We had dinner. Talked. They closed down the restaurant. We stood outside talking for another 90 minutes or so. I'd take a half step closer, she'd take a half step to the side or so. Not that I'm good at reading signs, but, I wasn't getting the "c'mon already, kiss me" feeling from her. And I don't know how to say this. But. I'm starting to get the feeling, she just likes having someone around to listen to her. Don't get me wrong, I'm known for talking ALL day/night with people. But I realized, she was doing the vast majority of the talking. For now, I'm chalking it up to nerves. But a lil voice in the back of my head is just giving that slight observation. We are both pretty busy for the next week or so. Will text and e-mail to keep in touch. And we shall see where things go next week. I've not given up hope, mind you.

Call about my blood tests! That's the other thing I need to do.

Sorry about the lack of snoggage, omnis. As someone else who really cannot read signs like that, I don't really have any advice.

Oof. Good luck, omnis. Did you WANT to kiss her? Do you find her kissable?

Am in Spokane, and once I catch up on the internet, am going to take a bath using a bathbomb! HAH! So I don't have to clean up after it! HAHAAH! I even asked for a different hotel room after I checked in--they gave me this really nice corner room....but it was handicap-accessible, so there was no bathtub, just a shower.

Some friends had a mostly-vegan potluck on Friday (because the friend throwing it was vegan) and he got some vegan feta for the dish I made (I brought real feta too) but they didn't have plain vegan feta. But what he got was quite tasty, though a little dry. We decided it would be great sliced up with a little oil and with my quinoa/bean/peppers/avocado dish in a wrap kind of thing. I left the leftovers with my friend and a plan to do just that, for work lunches.

Ya.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hmm, omnis. I hope she's just being a socially awkward GGG, and does not know how to signal "yes, please snog me thoroughly, soon," rather than what you are reading. You deserve much happy snogging.

Can't sleep. Don't know why. It's annoying.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I bought the most delicious eggs at the farmers' market this weekend. They are making for very good breakfasts.

Oh god. I scarcely ever sleep ANYwhere but in my own bed. The list of rituals and requirements is vast and concrete. It has always been thus and makes me envious of nothing else in this life, except for people who can sleep on demand.

See, I'm usually one of those people. Not quite on demand, but close. Never used to be that way, but these days just moving around makes me so exhausted that sleep happens *a lot*. But not since I've been house-sitting. Although my stress levels are also insanely high. (Wedding planning - a method of year-long torture created and executed by THE DEVIL. Yes.)

Predation risk! Less REM and less deep sleep in novel environments. The theory is that people who get night terrors are extra sensitive to the cues of predation risk.

Hmm. Evolution side-effects: not always friendly.

Can't sleep. Don't know why. It's annoying.

See above - I empathise. Making a very large midnight snack seemed to help.

The fact that I like to cook also confuses my mother. To her, cooking is a chore, it seems.

I'm on your mother's side here. I rarely cook - it's The Girl's thing. I am very bad at it, and therefore find it a stressful and depressing experience.

omnis -- Hmm. It could be WindSparrow's theory of social awkwardness - I had to precede my first kiss with The Girl with a whole lot of discussion, for I am not good with the social. Or she's just ordinary shy, or a bit nervous. Any nervous vibes from her?
