I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I don't like Vegas at all, but I think it's a ton of fun if you're going to play with friends and see shows and such. I just have zero interest in gambling and get a little twitchy around huge crowds, so...

But I'm always up for meeting friends there. Then it's just a playground.

I think if I had the money for the shows, I'd like going. I'm not a huge gambler, there's no draw there. Like Pix, I'd go if it was with a bunch of friends to just hang out with friends, gawk at the frantic folks heading for the casinos and maybe some shopping.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't like gambling, either, and I'm also not great with crowds. I've only been to Vegas once, and didn't really like it, but there could be something there that I'd like better that I just didn't see that time.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I think I'd have fun in Vegas but I'd mostly want to see the shows which gets expensive fast.

I am back from the pet store where I succeeded in spending ridiculous amounts of money on the pets. Next stop: library.

Mostly lurking...

My day:

  • Toto probably has a collapsed trachea and will need an xray to confirm.

  • Toto's lump under his left front leg has quadrupled in size, and while it doesn't look like it's cancerous, it needs to be removed because it is impeding his movement.

  • The above will cost $400.

  • I have fluid in my ear that's not draining. I waited three hours at urgent care to find that out. Also to find out that there is nothing I can do about it except wait until it turns into an infection in a week or so.

  • Because of the above, I missed the Skate-a-Palooza event with a bunch of my friends, and I'm sad.

Sometimes I hate my life--also the amount of time I spend in waiting rooms.

Our wings are not tired

I love the shows and the crazy. The Liberace Museum is awesome. The Cirque shows are so much fun. Everything is just so totally out of control and over the top. I also enjoy gambling so the casinos can be fun for me as well.

I know I'm feeling whiny and overly dramatic tonight, but I really just want to go hide in a hole. But, I can't because I have to clean the house and get ready to go babysit three kids for a week and then pick up my parents at the airport tonight.

I also know I should be so thankful that it's nothing worse with Toto. It's just exhausting, you know?

IOmememeN: I have an actual date with my husband tonight, at a restaurant lacking in paper placemats and crayons and my hair decides to have a Bad Night.

But... he just came home and told me I look pretty.

Still pissed at the hair, tho'.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, vw. That sounds like a whole lot of not-fun for one day.

Yay, date night, Barb!

I just got back from getting some of Dad's furniture moved. The movers were great--they called me with an eta after I'd sort of committed to spending the whole afternoon in Kernersville, and I found I had a two hour window in which to get a pedicure and just chill. Now I'm home in a slowly coming together apartment with my cat and some mac and cheese. Not a bad Saturday, all told.
