[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mmmmm, sparkling pomegranate wine is yummy! People have been bringing it to my place on Fridays (bless 'em), and that's one bottle that does not stay half-full in my fridge.

Windsparrow, I'm sorry things are so fraught with your mom.

“Not dead yet!”

I slept from midnight until 7 when Jasmine started hurking. Nothing like the sound of hurking dog to get you out of bed in a hurry.

I slept pretty well, but with intermittent dreams of ShamWOW Vince hawking his wares in Spanish. It's Lewis' fault which is why I made him take the trash out in the rain.

I'm with beth, I like rum. But not right now.

I'm watching Chuck.

I watched it last night, too. Chuck breaks my heart, poor noodle.

Coffee...

And happy, happy, happy birthday Bev!

Trust my rage

Nine hours of sleep! I woke up once to let out a whining dog but other than that, I slept great. I feel so much better today.

Happy Birthday, Bev!!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hey look, I just had something remotely resembling seven hours' sleep. Wow.

Yesterday evening I had a half-hearted desire to drink enough to get a bit of a buzz. Then the SiL called, and all fun was taken out of my day, and the desire to drink evaporated. I suppose that's a good thing, and will keep me from becoming an alcoholic. But dayum, if ever there was a reason to drink, my mother is a good one.

Librarian Warlord

I, unfortunately, did not sleep well, but I am resigned to the fact that there isn't much I can do about the rhinitis that goes with the pregnancy besides the Neti pot and making sure I have plenty of soft tissues on hand.

Andi, I hope your mother's situation improves soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEVERLY!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I managed to get somewhere between 6-ish and 7 hours of sleep, which was an improvement on the night before. I just wish I'd stop waking up to pee and then not falling back asleep (this morning it was at 5:45, although I dozed for about half an hour).

(Note: I don't mind the waking up to pee, as I'd rather my bladder not explode. It's the not-falling-back-to-sleep that I loathe.)

Also -- Happy Birthday, Bev!!!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Happy birthday, Beverly!

Yeah, I'm proud of my intact urinary tract.

Ha. That rhymed. See what an almost-full night's sleep will do?
