Code blue! Sophia!
The only time my rent didn't increase was when the mgmt was in chaos and I didn't have a lease for a couplethree years. Or longer. Then there was new mgmt, and the leasing office was torched (twice) and they got back on the ball, damnit, Which reminds me: as soon as I start making offers, I need to go negotiate with them. I've been here 12 years in good (if pushy to get critical infra fixed) standing, I should be able to negotiate the same rent should I not move before June 30, when my lease expires. Seriously, the rent is $300 more without a lease. INSANE.
I'm month to month, thankfully right now, but they still raise my rent each year. Fair enough, except I started out paying too much anyway.
Yeah, the only danger with a month to month lease is they could at any time be like "OH! By the way, next month your rent will be $X+billion!!! Kthnxbi!" Or "Sorry, we decided we don't like you, move next month! SORRY!"
Oh, my rent goes up annually. But I still have a lease.
That sounds good for what ails you, Cash.
Thanks to all the talk around here and the Current Economic Climate, I started looking at listings for (rental) apartments back in my old neighborhood, and it looks like it may be back to affordable by the time my current lease runs out in November! Serious consideration, there.
Sophia, this should revive you: Loki is awake and being an asshole, waking up a sleeping MK by biting him to get him to play. MK likes him, but sometimes he just wants to sleep and not deal with the psycho kitten energy.
Nunya bites me I'm sleeping. Or else pats me with her claws extended. She knows when I've hit the snooze button too many times.
I wish my cats were still awe-dorable.
Crazy neighbor came home, and bless her, I never heard the doors close.
Julie, I have scratches across my feet from Loki's crazytime. And he bopped me in the eye the other night when he was racing around. So.. I know.
sarameg, do you have Trader Joe access? I do not recall.
I'm eating brie and crackers and drinking wine and watching Biggest Loser. The way I like to watch it.
Tomorrow Chicago Bob's telling his team at work that he's moving out here. Please for it to go well!
