I had the oddest conversation about health care with some one -- a friend is self insured -- and I was complaining about the bureaucracy involved in switching -- esp when it is every couple of months. My friend kept getting up set because he thought I was complaining about cost. I said no -- I am aware that I even with COBRA I am paying less than if I was self- insured, but just the paperwork to switch is crazy.
I'm hopeing we can make this easier -- I'd love single payer, but I think we can make things less crazy making as a first step.

I am doing a really "quasi" private school-- like private school in a world where people turn into butterflies and speak in iambic pentameter, or say, more like Tatu than a real uniform, so I actually like the stripes, and am considering having the jackets for the girls be all different patterns but the same color. I am just nervous about finding grey jackets for the 2 boys.

I just had to put my foot down to a recruiter who wanted me to lie on my resume. And a stupid lie too. He wanted me to say I'd done things at my last job that I'd actually done in the ones before. WTF? I told him to not submit me if he didn't want to, but I wouldn't lie.

Is there an organization similar to Al-Anon for the partners of problem gamblers?
I wish Dad would get some counseling on his own--if just to cope with the issues. He handles it by drinking. *shrug* I offer him my advice but he's not going to change anything after 48 years of marriage, sadly.
