I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Deniers get no chili! (And Jess *does* have a recipe for a vegetarian version, so there!)

Damn skippy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, hapa project. I hope Noah does make it in, because cuteness!

Congrats, Cash! Way to go you.

We looked for two years before we bought, and we were just looking for an empty plot of land! Imagine what we'd have been like if we were looking for a house! But we knew we couldn't buy a built house here; prices started at $350,000 and went up for anything reasonable. Over $100,000 for a trailer. Ridic.

But we love the lot and of course the house we ended up with. So it's worth the (sometimes painful!) search, sarameg.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I feel like I missed out on the house search, which is ridic I know.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dinner: Edamame and green pea soup topped with toasted pistachios. Totally experimental and totally nom.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wonder if any VH-1 watchers besides me just asked "Why is Christine Baranski wearing a suit and tie?" when David Coverdale came onscreen...

Hey Scrappy? You did a short sale, right? What did your timeline end up being? There's another on the same street as the one I like, plus one I haven't seen in Hampden that just reduced the price like whoa. I'd love to get this all done before I leave the country/lease expires, but if I really like something, I'll deal with the headaches and go negotiate the fuck out of the mgmt office.

Going back to "getting your snoop on", it also gives you neat ideas. One of the too-small-but really cute places had put in a medicine cabinet where not only the doors were mirrored, the interior was too. It really worked on a functional level. Or good paint colors.

I do think today was kinda stressful. My gut is reacting, but hey, it'll get more routine until I pull the trigger and then I'll freak the fuck out. Right?

I want to go back with my camera to the good house (I forgot it this morning. Major stupid.) I *need* to see more, but I'm kinda in love with the style and layout with the knowledge that I'll probably over time have to put in another $10K at least to make it ideal as is to me (new deck, central air.) French doors! 3 porches! 3bdr! Damned no ductwork.

Whoa sirens and police helicopters.

(I'm kinda obsessing.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yeah, pictures are good. I wish I could find the pictures I took during the house inspection on this place, with the previous owners' traditional Chinese furniture in the living room.
