Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dear lord, I need this: [link]

If it weren't $21, it would be mine.

Yay for house looking at! Hope it's not too scary for either of you!

I'm watching FNL first season still. It's killing me. Every scene practically has a cry point for me.

Took the dog to the vet and he confirmed what I was thinking. Frank is getting old, his brain function is deteriorating. He doesn't seem to be in pain though so that's something but there's nothing they can really do to help him. The saddest thing he said was that Frank probably doesn't recognize me much anymore.

Every.damn.time I hear the FNL theme, I flash back to driving through the back roads from my aunt's near Elgin/Bastrop to Killeen at late afternoon/sunset with the windows on the rental down. God, it was gorgeous. And smelled good.

Okay, Landry was just flirting with Tyra in the library while holding a copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves. This show is so awesome!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sorry about Frank, lisah. Old doggie.

Perhaps inappropriately, I am reminded of my father saying he liked when the pope (JPII) wouldn't retire, because he thought it said something good that he was still doing the job, even old and sick.

ION, I'm almost done watching the West Wing, and I feel like I'm going to have so much free time!

lisah, poor you and Frank. It's hard and sad. At one point with during one of MK's crises, it was really bad. As in hours would determine whether he lived. I was glad that Berry didn't equivocate on how bad, but still, nothing like tearing through the waiting room sobbing.

I am alternating between ok and throwingupfeeling re: houses. There is a short-sale on Paine that looks interesting, but... And there is a new listing right near Wyman. But I won't see them tomorrow, most likely. Looks like some of my interestings may have been snapped up. I dunno. Alternate between positive and really not.

Now tagless for your comfort.

lisa, I'm so sorry about Frank. That's heartbreaking.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm sorry about Frank, Lisa.

Well, remember you don't have to decide on something tomorrow! Paine street could be interesting. A friend of mine used to live on that street. With a cat named George!

Heh. It's this one: [link]

It might be tiny, can't tell. And the short sale thing I need to ask about. I know what it is and what the delays can be, but I'm still gonna ask Magan for the odds.
