You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My mom gave me her famine-resistant metabolism and sense of humor. My dad gave me my legs and possibly the way my mind works (whether that's due to genes or training is hard to say).

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

My dad always said that the best thing about my being in his math class for two years was being able to see how my mind works.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yes, you do have to put that much cheese on it! That's the point of cinci chili! Okay, maybe not for everyone. Mmm. I seem to be on a cheese kick at the moment. I wonder if I'm not getting enough calcium or something.

I have no idea what my cholesterol is. I probably should find out, eh?

I got freckles from my grandmother! Hopefully also good skin, but probably eventually arthritis and we check for glaucoma all the time. But definitely freckles.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Heh. *I* like that much cheese on my 4-way, but not everyone does. I've actually SEEN people make the heretical act of taking cheese OFF their 3/4/5-way.

I seem to be on a cheese kick at the moment. I wonder if I'm not getting enough calcium or something.

Since I've been on a soft-food (and also food-that-isn't-small-particles) diet thanks to getting the tooth pulled, the majority of my diet this week is dairy-based (smoothies, yogurt, ice cream, cheese). I'm expecting great fingernails any day now.

(Also, I can't WAIT to eat crunchy/small-particle-y food again!)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For USA-ians - don't forget to Spring Forward this weekend!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My mom gave me her famine-resistant metabolism

Ahahaha- yes, that's an excellent way to put it. Me too.

Compassionately intolerant

Tonight...opening reception for a kids consignment shop run by one of my favorite people.

Tomorrow...not sure. Project stuff for other people, I suspect.

Sunday...helping fix a friend's computer in the morning, cooking and old radio shows in the evening.

Throughout...the Bestie's shih tzus who...much as I love 'em...kind of a pain. Just SUCH different energy than Bartleby and almost impossible to walk together, so I'm doing it in shifts which...bugs.

Now the pushy one is barking at me and I don't know why. The quieter on is grousing at his brother to shut up and let him sleep. They are a furry Laurel and Hardy.

Bartleby just wants them to go away!
