If he doesn't break it first!

We had to make some modifications to Leif's crib to keep him from climbing out and generally damaging it. By the time he outgrew it, it had enough extra stuff put on it that it took on a Mad Max Road Warrior look.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay, Lowell!

If he doesn't break it first!

(edited to put in the quote so it didn't look like I thought the observatory was rambunctious.)

He's huge and rambunctious! Don't, under any circumstances, send him to circus school, or he'll be using that thing as a vaulting horse in a wink.

weekend

Oh, jeez. First up the regular round of private lessons and errands. But on top of that there's the SO's symphony concert Saturday. And on top of that he's scheduled himself to throw a dinner at someone else's house. For money, but still. Lot of work in a short amount of time. And he's already wiped out now. But I have no sympathy, because he scheduled it all himself.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The DH is making Cincinnati Chili for dinner tonight. We are serving the chili/pasta/toppings plus a big salad. What else goes with it? Cornbread? Garlic bread? No bread?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've never served Cincinnati chili with bread, but at Skyline you can get it with oyster crackers.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

For David, to make up for all the cat pictures we have posted: [link]

I have always had it with oyster crackers. Skyline and Gold Star both serve it that way.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have always had it with oyster crackers. Skyline and Gold Star both serve it that way.

Skyline used to also have garlic bread on the menu, and I loved it because it dripped butter. It's no longer on the menu.

Oyster crackers are de rigeur for the authentic experience: [link] (don't feel compelled to use this much cheese, BTW).

But honestly, garlic bread is pretty good with it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My cable is jacked, every time I call Time Warner they have a pre-recorded excuse. Apparently it's sunspots. Or flares. Something solar anyway.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Apparently it's sunspots. Or flares. Something solar anyway.

They should just say, "The sun's going nova. Sure, that won't happen for another 7 billion years, but our equipment is very sensitive."
