Yay Tom!!
I need to do some house cleaning this weekend for sure, also errands -- library, cat food, etc. Woo hoo!
'Out Of Gas'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Oh look, God has a cure for cancer!
Just kill it by using this health machine to flood your cells with "Chi" Energy!
"God's Answer to Cancer" is the truth... --the amazing true story of a Healing Health Machine invented by a dying American Missionary who cured himself of stage-four Colon Cancer after receiving a Divnely inspired dream in 1996, showing the principles of how to build this Anti-Cancer Machine, and in 2008 at age 86 he is still totally free of cancer, and now as approved by The Philippine Congress's Alternative Medical Act, he is offering it to you. This is his true story:
Apparently Consumer Reports is skeptical. But look!
"Furthermore Consumers Guide is a testing agency for hair dryers, auto tires, electric fan, stoves, and other appliances. What do they know about health? Nothing!"
It would be funny, except God knows how many people have fallen for this scam....
Well, it looks all science-y and tech-y.... Advanced Bio-Photon Analyzer
In 1994, the National Institutes of Health in the United States adopted a new term – biofield – to describe a growing body of research showing a subtle field that permeates and extends beyond the physical body. The biofield is something you’ve probably already noticed: a vital force that animates our bodies and powers our daily lives. When our biofield is out of balance, we’re out of balance. Disease, fatigue, stress, and apathy all reflect a compromised biofield. When something improves our biofield, such as the ABPA, it enhances our sense of well-being.
Every day, our biofields are negatively impacted by flickering computer monitors, cell phones, emotional stress, microwave transmissions, and traffic jams. We are literally bombarded with frequencies that wear down our immune system and biofield. That’s why it is essential to recharge.
The Advanced Bio-Photon Analyzer is designed to tune up your biofield through a resonant effect that harmonizes your energy and helps you to navigate smoothly through a stressful world. Think of the ABPA's effect like tuning forks that remind your biofield of its optimal functioning state. Worldly stress causes the biofield to become more chaotic and incoherent. The ABPA reverses this process, promoting efficiency, harmony, and balance.
What do they know about health? Nothing!
Apparently the Philippine Congress grabbed all the experts.
Going back a bit:
I'm also less likely to get exercised over a physical fight where both give as good as they get. Probably because I find it hard to call someone an abuser if they get as many bruises as they dish out.
Cat tattooing -- I'll add to the ick factor that the tattoo was exhibited before the cat had even recovered from the anesthesia.
Hey, it's Friday. What are people doing this weekend?
Cleaning, gardening, and getting a whole lot of pictures on the walls. I'm looking forward to all of this, even the cleaning, as the state of my apartment has breached even my carefully cultivated household obliviousness.

But does it go "bing"? I can't see any medical benefit to a machine that doesn't go "bing".

"This? This is my timey-wimey detector. Goes 'ding' when there's stuff. Also boils an egg at thirty paces, whether you want it to or not, actually. I've learned to stay away from hens--it's not pretty when they blow."
I just rewatched Blink last night!
weekend
we have a rare Friday night at home (not due to illness) - YAY! probably some homework and then tv/video games.
Saturday - Karate and then mac goes to a playdate so I will do laundry and grocery shopping and some decluttering.
Sunday - church, then mac goes with his uncle and I think I will go see a movie or a nice meal out.
weekend
Tonight, meet up with a friend for drinks and maybe dinner. Either a movie (Slumdog) or home to catch up with my DVR.
Tomorrow, a bunch of errands in the morning. Hopefully get to a movie in the afternoon, and then out to stay overnight with a couple I know so the husband and I can go see Watchmen in Imax on Sunday.
We'll see how much of the first half of the weekend plan I follow through on, but Sunday is a lock.
weekend
I've finally got a longer shift at the bookstore tomorrow, seven hours instead of the four hours I've had since Christmas, so that's good. On Sunday, I'll probably go grocery shopping and then get some cooking done for the week.
