Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Do not talk smack about the pigeon, yo.

I love the Naked Mole Rat book.

I am tired as I had an unfortunate visit from the insomnia fairy. It was No Good At All.

Spent my AM with Grace and my PM looking at the Science exhibit at the Huntington Library (which was AWESOME.... even better than the Ellesmere Chaucer or the Gutenberg Bible). Am home now.

Ikea didn't have the chair I wanted. Am mad. But I did have swedish meatballs. nom nom nom.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

How long does it take to get a passport these days?

It depends: [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

One of my neighbors has banned the pigeon books from her house because she sees them as manuals for How To Throw A Temper Tantrum.

And she's not 100% wrong on that, but, you know, it's not like the pigeon's whining ever gets him anywhere. He doesn't get to drive the bus OR stay up late, he changes his mind about the puppy AND he winds up sharing the hot dog!

Um. It's possible I've overthought this issue.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He doesn't get to drive the bus

Good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

But the books put the child in the position of making the parent's argument!

But the books put the child in the position of making the parent's argument!

Which is why they are brilliant!

sarameg, new pics up. Mostly in matching outfits! Sort of redundant. One of my faves: [link] Why is he sitting on my lap?
