Omnigraffle is funner. But I totally get what you're saying. I pull it out to do something worky, and then start saying, "hmm... what else around here needs a diagram?"
I *love* Visio. I used to diagram just for the shit of it. I was the best illustrated project manager in town--cross-functional flow charts, network diagrams, ERD, UML diagrams...
