Zappos is one of the top places in the country to work, so they may have cause to be cheery.

My daughter is pushing my buttons big time today. If she's this defiant at 3, when she's 13, I'm totallly fucked.

There's something not right about Zappos. I consider them highly suspect, what with the free returns and the omnipresent shipping upgrades. Ominously cheery customer support doesn't surprise me in the least.

I know! I was halfway waiting for her to accuse me of abusing their goodwill.

But no, she placed an order for me, upgraded my shipping, and told me to go ahead with the return process for the shoes that don't fit.

Maybe she's getting it all out of her system now?

I know, I know, not very likely. But it's all I've got.

Is diabetes associated with limited bloodflow to the extremities, especially the feet? Is that why they don't want to put IVs in the feet of diabetics?

I feel like I should know this, and I'm not sure if that's actually it. Untreated diabetes can lead to toes, etc., needing to be amputated, I know that. A quick look tells me it's diabetic neuropathy, which is nerve damage. That can happen with the eyes, too.

Maybe she's getting it all out of her system now?

This might help me sleep at night for now. It's something to hold onto.

They liked the dress (which I also thought was a good use of animal print), but thought the makeup was Evan Rachel Wood during the Marilyn Manson period. I think it's more ERW now, which is a tad heavy for ERW, but less so for Scarlett. It's totally not the goth look they claim.

They always ask me that before they put in an IV, and my foot is still hurting from what I think is an IV from three or so weeks ago. I'm disturbed.

ita, diabetes causes degradation of the blood vessels, along with neuropathy. These two complications can mean decreased ability to detect cuts and infections in the extremities. My grandma lost a toe, then a foot, then most of her leg this way. Once the infections set it, it's difficult to control the problem.

My old doctor's office had a sign up asking diabetic patients to remove their shoes and socks so the doctors could examine their feet.
