HOLYCRAPSNOWDAY. (Seriously, they haven't had one since the month before I was hired here, during one of my looniversity temp jobs.)

Hmmm, a little googling shows that 'gravity wave' is shorthand for cloud formations influenced by, DUH, gravity to assume ripple-like hills and valleys.
In the meantime the snow is a-blowing outside the windows. But I have no place that I have to go before 6 PM, so I'm good.
snow will not hold together, we made snow angels instead and have returned home. I'd like to talk a walk about and get some pictures, but mac was having NONE of it, not even with the bribe offered of Dunkin Donuts.
I'm totally jealous of snow day. We've had about an inch of snow/ice pellets and now it's raining.
Didn't "gravity waves" figure into an episode of ST:TNG?
I thought gravity waves were what quantum physicists wanted to find in order to confirm inflation, or string theory or something. (However, Google informs me that I'm thinking of gravitational waves. I'm thinking one or the other of these phenomenon needs to change their name.)
I am not having a snow day, but Dylan is. (DH and I flipped a coin and he got to stay home.)
Am slightly jealous of the snow day but really don't want snow. (Am more excited by "Chalkie" and by the 50 degree day we're supposed to have sometime this week.)
It's snowing like a hamster here.
How does a hamster snow? In a gravity wave?
Silly mac! I'd walk through the snow for Dunkin Donuts.
How does a hamster snow? In a gravity wave?
It's an expression my friends in the far north of NH use. It may refer to the way a hamster runs steadily in its wheel, or perhaps a play on the name of their state or perhaps they used to have a hamster named Snowball or whatever.
