Our wings are not tired.

I've changed faucets and everyone's right; keep the old parts, you may need 'em. I changed out exactly the type you're describing, too, Jess.

That haiku messenger bag is adorable.

Busy day at the bookstore today, which we desperately needed, so yay!! It was never really too long of a line, but the line never went away, so I was always either ringing up someone or watching someone approach to have me ring them up. We had a stack of special orders to be called, but I only had time to alphabetize them. Every time I picked up the phone to call the first customer, I'd get a live customer to ring up instead.

Tonight I'm watching movies on my dvr queue to make some room there, and will also be hooking up my printer. Then, I'm going to go through some cookbooks and make up a grocery list so I can stop eating takeout and cafeteria food next week. I picked up the Sunday Tribune to look through the coupons before I go shopping tomorrow.

I just put some turkey breasts into the slow cooker. I had meant to cook them last week, but it never happened. Hopefully they come out yum and I'll have 3-4 meals done for this week.

That's what I'm hoping to do tomorrow after I get back from the grocery store. On the way out of the bookstore today, I picked up a bargain Crock-Pot cookbook that has three sections: chicken, soups & stews, and five ingredients or less. I'm going to look through that, in combination with my coupons, to see what I can make for the week.

My goal is to bring all of my lunches in, as well as cook all of my dinners at home, instead of having takeout. My first diet doctor's appointment is on Wednesday, so I know I'll be eating less after that, and I'm going to have to eat cheaper to afford this doctor.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I had some bacon that had to be used. (Darn!) So I used it for split pea soup. I use a little garam masala in my split pea soup. A neighbor sent over a loaf of bread fresh out of the oven. Why is it only 3:00 and not yet dinnertime?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG you guys I am so cranky. I spent from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the music store today for a total of 2 half hour lessons at 10:30 & 11:00. There is no fucking reason I had to be there longer than an hour, and yet? I was.

AND THEN we get home and the SO crashes out and I wake him up AS REQUESTED and he's cold and tired and cranky at me because I suggested he might have been better off to have gone with me and the dog for our walk. Which would have gotten him warm and his blood moving and nice day and open air. BUT NO! And why is he cranky? Because he's overextended himself. Surprise, surprise.

Harumph.

And now I'm going to clean the whole house during the six hours he'll be gone tonight playing bass. It should go well, because I clean well cranky.
