I need hivemind HELP. There seems to be oil leaking from my washing machine. Not gallons, maybe a pint? Does this make sense? Can washing machines contain that much oil? Can this machine be saved?
It does not seem to be coming from the oil tank, thank god. But I am still coming down from the panic when I thought it might be.
Of course this happened when I was coming down to wash cat puke off my white duvet cover.

Ouch. My office is putting off payroll until next week, which seems to have caught a number of us flat-footed. I really wish that if this had to happen at all, it could have happened 5 years ago when I had a comfortable safety margin saved up.

Working there is not a hobby. At some point the response to putting off payroll has to be putting off showing up for work. There are a lot of variables about when that happens that you would know better than anyone else. But I would not let their debt to you pile up to much. Making payroll is a basic responsibility of those running a business.
