Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently Grace Jones was wearing a clear plastic dress with nothing under, with David Bowie, in the 70s.

I am doing the tournament! Very excited! But not so much prepared.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Grace Jones wearing a dress would be even more noteworthy. (She says feminine clothes make her look like a drag queen, so she never does it.)

I've always had a weird crush on Jones.

Not so weird, tommyrot -- you love androgyny!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Remember those Grace Jones / Adam Ant ads? What were they selling? Scooters?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Huh. I can hear the sweeping sound starting around 18.

I'm kinda hoping this one is as neat as it sounds: [link]

Especially the wood under carpet. It's 1949, so. And I hope if I like it, they accept less. And the kitchen isn't as teeny as it looks. Or it isn't teeny.

Ahrg. We'll see. I have a whole list I sent to the realtor. I can see this whole project being very stressful for me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Grace Jones and Adam Ant for Honda Scooters

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I remember a moment in middle school music class where, after some singing, the music teacher took me aside and played a couple of notes on the piano. She asked me to tell her which note was a higher pitch and I told her that they were exactly the same. It marked the end of my musical aspirations which was okay since I didn't have any.

My mother had a similar moment, though in her case it spelled the end of her aspirations to become a nun. She seemed to have come to terms with it by the time I met her.

DH got a decent annual raise and a pretty generous bonus today.

If he's not a director for Citigroup, I'd say enjoy it.

Have I said, "Fuck John Bolton" before? I believe I have.

For some reason, I first thought you meant Michael Bolton. Though I suppose then you'd have said "Let Michael Bolton touch you there".

Grace Jones wearing a dress would be even more noteworthy. (She says feminine clothes make her look like a drag queen, so she never does it.)

That actually kind of explains the clear plastic dress.

That place is really cute! I wonder if they are basically the same as my friend's place on the next street up? If so, they're small but nicely organized space.
