Bruce Schneier's irregular "Doghouse" column features security companies making risible, redonkulous claims about their technology; the latest gang is from Singularics, who sound like unbalanced saucer-cultists who've spent too much time near the math department of their college:
Our advances in Prime Number Theory have led to a new branch of mathematics called Neutronics. Neutronic functions make possible for the first time the ability to analyze regions of mathematics commonly thought to be undefined, such as the point where one is divided by zero. In short, we have developed a new way to analyze the undefined point at the singularity which appears throughout higher mathematics.
This new analytic technique has given us profound insight into the way that prime numbers are distributed throughout the integers. According to RSA's website, there are over 1 billion licensed instances of RSA public-key encryption in use in the world today. Each of these instances of the prime number based RSA algorithm can now be deciphered using Neutronic analysis. Unlike RSA, Neutronic Encryption is not based on two large prime numbers but rather on the Neutronic forces that govern the distribution of the primes themselves. The encryption that results from Singularic's Neutronic public-key algorithm is theoretically impossible to break.

Mermaid’s Dream Comes True
When she was a child, Nadya Vessey’s legs were amputated below the knee due to illness. One time, another child asked what happened to her legs, and she replied that she was a mermaid.
She couldn’t get the mermaid idea out of her head, so she wrote to the company that created the special effects for the Lord of the Rings movies as well as King Kong and The Chronicles of Narnia.
Her request: Will you make me a mermaid tail?
The company, Weta Workshop in Wellington, New Zealand, agreed.
Two years later, she now has a fully functioning mermaid tail with an attached suit, making her look like a real mermaid.

It's going to be a long night. I just did what msbelle did this morning. Except I'm not terribly congested and don't have a sore throat. Just this tiny drip.

Well sara, I hope you don't progress to where I am. I got worse throughout the day, finally went to the dr. They think strep. The fever is causing the naseua and might be caused by the strep, but might also be something I ate. I am shakey and weak when the fever jacks up and I have only kept down 2 pieces of bread all day. Drinking water kinda doesn't work and yet I have to keep at it because I am so dehydrated. I'll be home from work at least one more day.
Oh, that sucks. The only possible upside to strep is antibiotics curing it faster than a bad cold would go away?
Also, my cat is so into me, he just puked at my feet. Good times.
