And who the heck is making money working against global warming?
Hence the claim that Al Gore has gotten rich(-er, actually) since his political days.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I'm starting to think that Emily teaches in my school district.
MSM is MainStream Media, right?
Yes. Favored by those who believe that, say, CNN and Fox are equally biased, but at least with Fox they admit it!

Any reasonably powerful politician makes more money out of office than in it, though!
ION, come ON, people! I need three things! Please just give them to me!!!!!

I hate this cough. It's ridiculous. Blowing my nose doesn't help because I'm not snotty. I have just enough to tickle my throat and set of coughing spasms. And for some reason, the Robutussin isn't really working and I may have to kill someone.

Or a monkey paw, but you have to be really careful with those things. Last fall, I wished my wealth would increase relative to the rest of the country. Shoulda left off the relative part.
Has anyone here coordinated a big office move? If so, I would happily take any advice or anecdotes on what to make sure I have/do, things that will come up that I wouldn't have thought of, etc. And if you had to do a budget for it, advice on that, as well.
I'm coordinating our move into new office space and the pocurement of new (to us) office furniture and and and....
Any advice would be much appreciated.

That would maybe be easier to get at this point. Oh -- the magic of posting! One person just said five more minutes, and the other one half came through. PHEW.
Sorry for the bitterness. I know it's perfectly natural, just a part of growing up, an expected part of being a teenager... but I really do get tired sometime of the number of absolute judgments they're fond of handing down based on a few snippets of info and (maybe) their parents' opinions. The fact that some people have spent their lives on specializing in and researching stuff? Totally trumped by a 16-year-old's infinite knowledge and immediate response.
And I'm sleepy. It'll all be better tomorrow. I actually do admire their willingness to engage with me, knowing that I disagree with them, and they do it (mostly) very politely. We need more of that. I just wish they were capable of saying, "I don't really know much about this."
