Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Alica Keys is just beautiful. (Over-highlighted eye-corners notwithstanding. Not her best make-up tonight.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I'm feeling sad for Wall-E. Mainly because I loved Wall-E so much.

“Not dead yet!”

No, no, no, no, no, dammit. They should not use Etta for a HOOVER commercial.

Just... no.

Also, I want to pop John Legend in my pocket and bring him home.

Yeah, wish Wall-E was getting more (even against Slumdog which I think equally deserves it.) However, given the familial love of it and the kids' repeated watching, it is being appreciated where it matters.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Do they really have to use the same piece of music over and over again when someone wins?

No, no, no, no, no, dammit. They should not use Etta for a HOOVER commercial.

And I was thinking earlier they shouldn't use the Kinks for an... I don't even remember what it was for commercial.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, I think I love Liam's accent better than Hugh's. Could he present for a while?

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

As if Beyonce weren't bad enough, now they had a Hoover commercial with "At Last" as the music. I hope someone had the foresight to attach power cables to Etta James' coffin; she's probably spinning fast enough to light Vegas up right now.
